As stated before, a tree had fallen on this customer’s roof. The gutter was destroyed and the shingles and decking of the roof were damaged as well. We bid to replace 63 feet of gutter and one section of plywood. We also included new underlayment and new shingles. We have extensive experience in this line of work, so we were positive that we would be able to replace the gutters and decking without a problem. We were right!
How we Replaced this Gutter
We took a series of action steps in order to complete this job. We began by tearing off the old 63 feet of gutter. We tore out approximately one bundle of shingles at the gutter line. We cut out the broken plywood decking. We installed a brand new 6″ aluminum seamless gutter. We replaced the broken plywood with new solid plywood.We then installed new ice and water shield underlayment along with about one bundle of shingles. Ice and water shield underlayment is important because it ensures that moisture stays out.
Gutter Replacement Results
We found that wind was the main reason for this damage to the home. The customer’s next door neighbor also had damage to their roof due to wind. Our client was so happy with our work, he referred us to his immediate neighbor. We also repaired their roof. The customer was very satisfied with our craftsmanship. He was especially pleased with our prompt, courteous experience. The completed job looked as if no damage had ever occurred.
