Skylight and Valley Repair
The shingles on the valley had to be completely replaced. For this skylight repair in Peachtree City GA, we pulled out the old shingles. When we did this, we had to be careful to leave the existing shingles intact because we needed to be able to tie the new shingles to them. We then installed ice and watershield underlayment in the valley. After that step, the new shingles were installed in the valley.
In order to fix the skylight, we pulled the old shingles from around the skylight. We replaced the old shingles with new ones and flashing in their place. This acts as a sealant against the weather. The skylight in 30269 was leaking so much because the flashing was improperly installed. We made sure to install the flashing the right way this time.
